Improved Applause Media System

Petroleum equipment manufacturer Gilbarco-Veeder Root enhanced its Applause Media System to offer expanded audio and video capabilities. The new release allows retailers to add audio and video content to promotions displayed on Encore S dispensers with color screens, in addition to the already available features including graphic-based forecourt promotions and coupons, according to the company. The system also includes reporting functions that show which products to sell, how to position up-sell items and daily traffic monitoring, the company stated. In addition, content can be created and scheduled with the system, using its library of ready-to-use audio and video content, artwork and advice, all for no charge through the Gilbarco Applause User Portal and Control Center, according to Gilbarco.
