Insulair Inc., maker of innovative insulated paper cup, now offers the Insulair EcoSmart, the first commercially available insulated paper coffee cup to contain post-consumer recycled content, the company reported.
The triple-wall paper cup utilizes a built-in layer of insulating recycled paper to keep coffee hot and protect hands, and the corrugated material used to make the cup's insulating layer is made from 99 percent post-consumer recycled paper. Overall the new cup contains a minimum of 12 percent post-consumer recycled content, according to the company. Additionally, it eliminates the need for polystyrene foam cups, double cupping and cup sleeves.
