Jiffy Mart Helps St. Jude’s "Boot Cancer" Campaign
WESTMINSTER, Md. -- During the month of February, the Jiffy Mart stores in Carroll County helped raise money to support the children at St. Jude’s, and sold enough "boots" to raise $4821.39, which exceeded last year’s total, the company reported.
"We really enjoy getting out and working to help those in need in the communities we serve," Tom Moser, general manager of Jiffy Mart said. "We pride ourselves in being the hometown convenience store in the county.”
The effort was successful because of the teamwork of the store teams and the Jiffy Mart office staff, according to the company. The store teams asked each customer if they would like to buy a boot to "Boot out Cancer."
"Our associates really got into it this year," Dwayne Cover, Jiffy Mart’s Business Manager said in a released statement. "They had a good time while helping such a great cause.”
Jiffy Mart is a division of Tevis Oil. Jiffy Mart operates convenience stores exclusively in Carroll County, including Westminster, Finksburg and Hampstead.
