Jiffy Mart's Shawnee Blauvelt Named Subway Manager of the Year

WESTMINSTER, Md. -- Shawnee Blauvelt was named Subway Manager of Year for the Baltimore region today. Blauvelt manages the Subway restaurant located within the Jiffy Mart store at 1 Magna Way in Westminster.

Blauvelt was selected from more than 200 Subway managers in the Baltimore area. The Subway Board of Maryland selected and voted upon the award. It was announced at a sales rally and presented at Blauvelt’s store by Nick Difatta, operations analyst at the Subway Development Corp. of Washington D.C.

"Shawnee has worked on developing a strong team by training all staff using the University of Subway Learning Ladder," said Difatta. "She strives to know most, if not all of her customers on a first name basis and ensures every customer is acknowledged and greeted in a warm manner. She also spends a good deal of time visiting local businesses and other community organizations to explain about catering orders for meetings and large lunches."
