Kansas Convenience Store Goes to School
WICHITA, Kan. — A convenience store located inside a school bus has opened at Wichita State University's Hughes Metropolitan Complex, according to a KSN News report.
The school bus c-store is open from 6:45 a.m. to 9:15 p.m. on days that school is in session.
Products available include eight types of coffee and 18 types of cappuccino; Daylight Donuts; Coca-Cola products, energy drinks, tea and water; four types of smoothies; hot dogs and sausage rolls; chips; and candy, mints and gum.
The owner, Kelly Fankhauser, is working with a food vendor to add sandwiches to the store's offerings.
A contest to name the store ended Sept. 23. The winner will receive free drinks through the month of October.
