Keeping Up With the Growth of OTP
JERSEY CITY, N.J. -- Times, they are a changing. The same is true for tobacco retailing, and several leading retailers are joining together with experts in the field to discuss those changes in an upcoming Convenience Store News webcast, "Keeping Up With OTP: Times Are Changing."
Sponsored by Swedish Match, the one-hour webcast will be held at 2 p.m. on Wed., Feb. 27. Retailers participating in the online event will include Anne Flint, senior category manager of tobacco at Cumberland Farms Inc.; Richard Mione, senior director of merchandising at VPS Convenience Store Group; and James Conrad, category manager for Royal Buying Group Inc. On the expert side, David Bishop, managing partner at Balvor LLC, and Joe Teller, director of category management with Swedish Match, will take part as well. CSNews Editor-in-Chief Don Longo will moderate the roundtable discussion.
In a departure from previous webcasts, this event's agenda will be determined by the participants. Registrants are encouraged to submit topics and issues they want to address -- whether it is pending tobacco regulations or new product innovation. The guests speakers will share information, data and trends for discussion, and examine the key implications. Attendees will also have the chance to ask questions during the event.
“Change is happening all around tobacco retailing. So, looking at things differently may help us identify new opportunities,” Longo said.
