KSS Introduces RackPrice SaaS for Fuel Wholesalers
FLORHAM PARK, N.J. -- KSS Inc. introduced RackPrice SaaS, a hosted version of the company's fuel price management software for fuel wholesalers.
The new system gives fuel suppliers the option to benefit from a comprehensive, automated fuel price management capability via a software-as-a-service (SaaS) model, where the application -- and accompanying customer database and information -- resides and is managed by KSS on its servers, the company reported.
With RackPrice SaaS, wholesalers can save on costly upfront equipment investments to host the software themselves, and it cuts ongoing costs for IT personnel to maintain the system, the vendor stated. In addition, implementation time is reduced with the hosted model, so wholesalers can quickly roll out the solution for a faster impact on their operations. The system also includes proven integration with OPIS, Platts and DTN data sources for added efficiency and convenience.
"By deploying RackPrice SaaS, fuel wholesalers are receiving the same functionality and benefits of the site-licensed version of RackPrice, but without spending additional capital to install, host and maintain the system themselves," said Bob Stein, president and chief executive officer of KSS.
Wholesalers who subscribe on a module-by-module basis and pay a monthly fee based on the number of users that access the software during any given month, helping them cut costs by paying only for the amount of service used.
KSS also offers additional value through its Software Maintenance and Support (SMS) and Model Maintenance and Support (MMS) services, which are included in the subscription to ensure users can fine-tune the system and receive optimal performance, the company reported.
