Kum & Go Awards Largest Fuel Good Prize

CUSHING, Okla. -- Through its Fuel Good sweepstakes, the Kum & Go chain of convenience stores awarded more than $50,000 in prizes to Alesa Crocker here last week, reported the Cushing Daily Citizen.

"I won!" Crocker exclaimed as she was celebrating her winnings with friends and family at the Kum & Go convenience store here. Crocker submitted one entry to the sweepstakes online, according to the report.

"I thought, 'What the heck?'" Crocker told the paper.

The goal of the Fuel Good program was to educate the public on the alternative fuel E85, while also awarding prizes each month, the paper stated. The Fuel Good promotion is a starting point for the company, and it looks forward to growing the fuel's availability and its awareness, the report stated.

Crocker was awarded the largest prize given by Kum & Go -- a new Chevy Impala; the cash equivalent of $15,000 worth of VeraSun Energy stock; and $10,570 of fuel, Kum & Go division vice president Mark Haisch told the paper.

"I still can't believe it," Crocker told the paper.
