Kum & Go Beefs Up Foodservice Options
WEST DES MOINES, Iowa -- As the convenience store industry continues to gain on quick service restaurants as an eating-out option, Kum & Go is turning to a new fresh menu to ramp up the competition.
According to the locally headquartered retail chain's Web site, part of Kum & Go's mission is to provide fast, friendly, convenient service and products. To meet that goal, the company is now "offering new fresh food options at a select number of stores -- all made fresh at your local store."
The menu items include made-to-order pizzas, burgers, burritos, hot sandwiches, fresh-made deli sandwiches, pastries and breakfast sandwiches. For example, customers can purchase a breakfast pizza, Angus double cheeseburger, Italian sausage sandwich, egg rolls, chicken salad croissant and an apple turnover, just to name a few items.
The new fresh menu is currently available in eight stores in Iowa. Two are in Urbandale, and one each in Des Moines, Pleasant Hill, Windsor Heights, Clive, Johnston and De Soto.
