Kum & Go Expands in Colorado and South Dakota
WEST DES MOINES, Iowa -- Kum & Go, L.C. has opened its 26th Colorado store in Greeley, Colo., and its 11th South Dakota store in Elk Point, S.D., the company stated.
Both stores feature fueling stations offering unleaded, super unleaded, premium, diesel and E85 fuels. An environmentally friendly fuel that can only be used in flex-fuel vehicles with engines modified to accept higher concentrations of ethanol, E85 is currently being offered by Kum & Go at 27 of its stores located across 12 states, according to the company.
In the food and beverage areas, the new Kum & Go stores feature a wide selection of products that have become indicative of the chain, including Java Ridge Premium Coffee, Napa Creek and Sea Ridge wines and Go Fresh Market Sandwiches. The company also offers potato chips, bottled water, cookies and candy under the well-known Hiland brand name in its stores, the company stated.
As part of Kum & Go's commitment to developing environmental-friendly building and operating practices, both new stores integrate heavily insulated glass, LED cooler door lights and energy-efficient coolers into their energy-efficient design, according to the company.
Kum & Go plans to continue its growth in Colorado with eight new stores scheduled to open throughout the year, the company stated. An additional South Dakota store is planned to open in Sioux Falls in October.
