Kum & Go Rewards Long-Term Managers

WEST DES MOINES, Iowa -- Don Stubbs and Dennis Cassmann, who manage Kum & Go convenience stores in Clear Lake, Iowa, are being rewarded for their dedication to the company, reported the The Globe Gazette.

Stubbs has been with Kum & Go, which has more than 420 convenience stores in 13 states, for 30 years. As part of the company's long-term associate incentive package, he will receive a check from Kum & Go for $15,000. He also has earned trips to Alaska and Mexico over the years.

"Kum & Go is a great place to work," Stubbs said. "The customers, associates, supervisors and Mr. Krause (W.A. Krause, the company founder and CEO) are exceptional individuals who've always treated me with respect."

Cassmann will receive a $10,000 check. He began his career in Hampton, Iowa, as bookkeeper for Solar Transport, a sister company of Kum & Go, and has managed five Kum & Go stores. During his time with Kum & Go, he has won trips to Cancun, the Daytona 500 in Daytona Beach, Fla., Orlando, Fla., and Hawaii for outstanding service, leadership and sales.

"I've stayed at Kum & Go because I believe in the company and Mr. Krause," Cassmann said. "Customers are my main concern and I do my best to make them feel special."

An all-day celebration will be held Thursday at both Kum & Go stores in Clear Lake. It will include live radio remotes, gift certificate giveaways for customers, free coffee and cake while supplies last.

"These gentlemen represent the dedication, superior work and values that are the foundation of Kum & Go," Krause said. "These managers go above and beyond the call of duty every year and we thank them."
