Kwik Trip Grows Minnesota Footprint
MANKATO, Minn. -- Kwik Trip Inc. is expanding rapidly here, with plans to open its seventh store in the city of 39,000 residents.
The convenience store chain's newest store includes a car wash and is located on the border of Minnesota State Highway 22, Augusta Drive and Premier Drive. The seven stores in Mankato, a city approximately 80 miles from Minneapolis, is part of a larger plan for Kwik Trip to open 30 new stores this year.
"This is a big year for us," Kwik Trip spokesman Steve Wrobel told the Mankato Free Press.
La Crosse, Wis.-based Kwik Trip Inc. operates 454 in Wisconsin, Minnesota and Iowa. The family-owned company was founded in 1965 and employs nearly 10,000 people.
