Kwik Trip's CNG Location Count Reaches 28
LA CROSSE, Wis. -- Kwik Trip Inc. has added compressed natural gas (CNG) to three more sites, bringing its CNG footprint to 28 locations.
The La Crosse-based retailer recently added the alternative fuel to Davenport, Iowa, and Lake Mills and Eau Claire, Wis., according to NGV Global News.
Kwik Trip opened its first CNG location in April 2012 and continues to develop a CNG fueling infrastructure throughout Wisconsin, Minnesota and Iowa. The retailer plans to open four additional CNG sites this fall, one each in Superior, Fond du Lac and Windsor, Wis., and Austin, Minn.
Kwik Trip's distribution fleet, Convenience Transportation LLC, runs 65 Class 8 natural gas vehicles, with plans to continue the conversion of the entire fleet. Additionally, the company utilizes 42 light-duty natural gas vehicles, the news report stated.
The company operates more than 450 Kwik Trip, Kwik Star, Hearty Platter and Tobacco Outlet Plus stores throughout Wisconsin, Minnesota and Iowa.
