Landmark Industries Gets New POS
GREENSBORO, N.C. -- Multi-branded petroleum retailer and wholesaler Landmark Industries of Houston, is installing Gilbarco Passport point-of-sale (POS) systems at 162 Houston area locations, the vendor reported.
"Passport has helped reduce training costs by as much as 18 percent," Chuck Miller, operations manager at Landmark Industries, said in a released statement. "The reliability of the product and its availability on a wide range of networks allows us to standardize on this product for all locations."
Passport provides an intuitive touchscreen interface that minimizes training time, errors and shrinkage, and offers seamless connectivity and standardization; powerful business information and security features; sophisticated business growth tools; and easy expandability, the company reported. Additionally, remote diagnostics enable most troubleshooting, fixes and software upgrades to be completed without on-site service calls and site downtime.
"Landmark's experience with a variety of different brands led them to understand the benefits and value of Passport," said Mikey Kindler, director of POS marketing for Gilbarco Veeder-Root. "Passport's core feature set is certified on a wide range of networks to enable multi-branded retailers like Landmark to consistently offer similar promotional programs and collect the same kind of data from all their sites. They can operate their business as a whole rather than a collection of sites."
