Leiszler Oil to Open Which Wich Sandwich Shop

MANHATTAN, Kan. — Leiszler Oil Co., operator of Short Stop convenience stores, is partnering with sandwich chain Which Wich to open a new shop in Manhattan, according to a Kansas State Collegian report.

The sandwich shop will be owned by Leiszler Oil and is scheduled to open at the beginning of October.

"We were looking to expand our convenience store presence in Manhattan, and then we were like, 'We need to partner with a great sandwich concept,' and Which Wich immediately came to mind," said Leiszler Oil Executive Vice President Alison Leiszler Bridges.

The shop will be the first Which Wich location in Kansas.

"It's a great concept, so we are really excited about it and we hope that everyone in Manhattan is just as excited as we are," added Jeff Vickers, senior vice president of development for Which Wich. "We are really looking to integrate into the Kansas State [University] student population because I know students are hungry for options. They are looking for a different atmosphere, other than the other dining options available for campus, and I think it gives them a great opportunity to come explore the brand."

Clay Center, Kan.-based Leiszler Oil owns and operates multiple Short Stop convenience stores. It also plans to open a Dunkin' Donuts location in the area, according to the news report.
