Lorillard Names Wilcox SVP and Chief Compliance Officer

GREENSBORO, N.C. -- Lorillard Inc. named Dr. Neil L. Wilcox as its senior vice president of product-related developments and chief compliance officer. Wilcox formerly served as a science policy analyst for the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA).

In his new role, he will oversee and manage regulatory affairs, including plans for the third-largest U.S. cigarette manufacturer to achieve regulatory compliance regarding federal regulations such as the Family Smoking Prevention and Tobacco Control Act.

Wilcox spent 13 years serving the FDA in several capacities. Most recently, he was its science policy analyst in the Center for Food Safety and Applied Nutrition for the past three years. He also held regulatory global affairs positions at consumer goods companies including Gillette Co. and Kimberly-Clark Corp.
