OKLAHOMA CITY, Okla. -- Love's Travel Stops & Country Stores promoted two of its staff to managerial positions yesterday. David Carter was named district manager and Jerry Hamm was promoted to corporate marketing manager of loyalty and media production, the company stated.

Carter, who has been with Love's for 10 months, most recently served as general manager in Tifton, Ga. Before Love's, Carter was previously employed as a district manager for WilcoHess. He has a commercial pilots license and industrial testing from the Spartan School of Aeronautical, according to the company.

In 2007, Hamm joined Love's as marketing project manager. Previously, he worked for Cimarron Trading Co., a point-of-purchase company he owned. Hamm has also spent time as a marketing manager and regional vice president of sales at The Morrison Group.
