Love's Opens Second Truck Tire Care Center

ST. JOSEPH, Mo. -- Love's Travel Stops & Country Stores opened its second tire care and lube center, according to a Modern Tire Dealer report. It was added to the 8-year-old Love's Travel Stop in St. Joseph, Mo., and offers lube services, oil changes and other minor repairs, along with selling Michelin, BFGoodrich and Double Coin truck tires.

The new location is part of an ambitious plan by the retailer to add 50 such tire care centers to Love's network of 220 travel stops in 2011. The company has set aside capital expenditures of $230 million for the project this year.

"Love's is committed to providing the best possible facilities and services that matter to the driving public," said Chairman and CEO Tom Love. "We have listened to customer feedback when designing these improvements, which will make our travel stops more appealing and convenient."

Love's currently operates locations in more than 30 states and is growing at a rate of about 15 stores each year.
