Lykins Energy's Latest Move Aligns With Growth Plan

MILFORD, Ohio — In a strategic move aligning with the company's growth plans, Lykins Energy Solutions has purchased Campbell Oil Co.'s Home Heat and Commercial Fuels Division.

As part of the transaction, Lykins will purchase three properties from Campbell including the Massillon, Minerva and Millersburg, Ohio, bulk plants. Over the next six months, Lykins will begin the re-imaging process of the bulk plants' signage and truck’s images.

"The purchase of Campbell Oil's Home Heat and Commercial Fuel Division is part of Lykins' five-year growth plan and aligns perfectly with the company's Northeast Ohio strategy and the enhancement of Lykins' current product lines. We continue to look for acquisitions that meet our company's long-term strategic expansion goals," said Lykins Energy Solutions President and CEO Jeff Lykins.

Campbell Oil Co., based in Massillon, is a multi-generational company that distributes gasoline, diesel fuels and home heating fuels to businesses and homes. After many years of progressively focusing on its subsidiary BellStores, its convenience retail brand, the Home Heat and Commercial Fuel Division sale was the next step in providing a clear direction for Campbell Oil and BellStores, the companies said.

Founded in 1948, Milford-based Lykins Energy Solutions serves customers in Ohio, Kentucky and Indiana, as well as throughout the Midwest and Southeast. It provides key services including branded fuels, wholesale fuels, commercial, transportation and home heating oil, propane, lubricants, electricity and natural gas. The company represents four major brands of fuel that it sells to independent gas dealers: BP, Marathon, Shell and Gulf.
