Mac's to Run Operation Freeze Again This Summer
ONTARIO, Canada -- Through a program developed by Mac's Convenience Stores, in conjunction with police services across the province, Ontario youngsters will reap the benefits of good behavior this summer, The Belleville Intelligencer reported.
Dubbed Operation Freeze, police officers will "ticket" young people with Froster coupons when they see the youth doing something positive in the community, such as volunteer work, following safety rules or deterring crime. The free Froster coupons will be issued during the remaining school weeks and throughout the summer months.
Under the program, 25,000 coupons will be distributed to the various police services in Central Canada areas where Mac's operates stores. The coupon is good for a 710-milliliter Froster, which can be redeemed at all participating Mac's stores.
The Central Hastings Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) signed on as one of the local participating police services. Staff Sgt. Peter Valiquette said, "Partnering with local business and engaging our youth only makes our community stronger."
