Manitowoc Acquires Induction Technology Supplier

MANITOWOC, Wis. -- The Manitowoc Co. Inc. announced the acquisition of INDUCS AG, a Herisau, Switzerland-based supplier of induction technology to the global foodservice industry.

INDUCS develops, manufactures and markets an expansive line of advanced technology induction countertop and built-in products and has a global network of distribution partners. This includes a longstanding relationship with Garland Commercial Range, a Manitowoc Foodservice division.

Manitowoc will offer induction products under the Garland brand to all Manitowoc Foodservice global customers, while INDUCS will continue to serve its original equipment manufacturer (OEM) customers and distribution partners, the company said.

The Manitowoc Co. manufactures 24 market-leading brands of hot- and cold-focused equipment and has more than 115 manufacturing, distribution and service facilities in 26 countries.
