MAPCO Joins Forces With U.S. Postal Service
MEMPHIS, Tenn. -- MAPCO is adding mail service to its list of services by contracting with the United States Postal Service (USPS) to offer four new postal units in Memphis-area stores, reported the Memphis Business Journal. The postal service will provide retail and mail services at USPS prices during normal business hours and be staffed by MAPCO employees rather than USPS workers.
“We are thrilled to offer our products and service to Memphis customers at more convenient locations throughout town," said Chivon Dechelle, retail manager for the USPS Tennessee district, in a release statement. "The business partnership we’ve established with MAPCO is a real win for the community."
The participating stores and their hours are:

Five thousand contracted postal units are currently in operation across the United States, 59 of which are in Tennessee, according to the report. The USPS stated it hopes to expand this division to better meet the needs of its customers and focus its attention on other growth areas.
