Mars Aims to Score With Super Bowl XLVI Contest

HACKETTSTOWN, N.J. -- Mars Chocolate North America is giving fans of both chocolate and football a chance to win a moment of a lifetime. M&M’s, Snickers, Twix, Milky Way and 3 Musketeers brands have launched the "Celebrate on the Field" 2011 Instant Win Game in which four football fans will be able to celebrate on the field with Super Bowl XLVI champions immediately following the game, slated for Feb. 5, 2012 in Indianapolis.

According to the company, fans who purchase Mars Real Chocolate products throughout the rest of the regular NFL season and playoffs can upload the UPC codes from specially marked packages to www.BeOnTheField.com between now and Feb. 7, 2011.

"NFL players work their whole lives for the opportunity to experience those few precious moments celebrating a Super Bowl victory," said Debra A. Sandler, chief consumer officer for Mars Chocolate North America. "We are thrilled to afford fans who serve Mars Real Chocolate at their football-viewing parties the exclusive chance to enjoy those special moments of celebration alongside the newest Super Bowl champions. For an NFL fan, what could be more exciting?"

And to help get the word out, NFL legends Marshall Faulk (St. Louis Rams), Mark Schlereth (Washington Redskins, Denver Broncos) and Rodney Harrison (New England Patriots) are teaming up with M&M’s and Snickers brands. The previous Super Bowl winners will be conducting love chats on the brands Facebook pages later this month and early next month, according to the company. "Winning a Super Bowl for St. Louis Rams fans everywhere was a huge thrill for me and I’ll never forget those few fleeting moments when we had the opportunity to celebrate our amazing accomplishment," Faulk said. "This is an experience you can’t buy, nor will you ever forget."

In addition to the grand prize, participants in the "Celebrate on the Field" 2011 Instant Win Game can win thousands of other prizes, such as Visa gift cards and Mars Real Chocolate products.
