Martin Eagle Uses Simmons ClearView System to Trim Potential Fuel Losses

DALLAS – Martin Eagle Oil, a provider services to retail and commercial fueling companies, installed Simmons ClearView continuous fuel monitoring systems at most of its locations in the area.

One example is the Midway Truck Stop in Ponder, Texas. On July 6, the ClearView alerted Marin Eagle Oil of a large loss of fuel at the site. ClearView was also able to determine the exact time and specific fueling position that was selling fuel. Martin Eagle immediately sent a technician to the site, where he discovered someone had tampered with the dispenser and disabled one of two pulsars in the dispenser.

“The quick response from Simmons ClearView prevented fuel losses that otherwise may not have been identified for several days,” said Steve Martin, CEO of Martin Eagle Oil. “The average sales for the dispenser are over 900 gallons per day with diesel prices of almost $4 per gallon. Since the customer would have seen half that amount on his bill, the savings to [Martin Eagle Oil] is about $1,800 per day.”
