Maverik Awards New Car to One Lucky Loyalty Member
SALT LAKE CITY – Maverik Inc. awarded a new Subaru Outback with a luggage rack and mountain bike to the winner of its Blacked-Out Outback Sweepstakes. Ron Alwine of American Falls, Idaho, and his wife Michelle accepted the keys to their new car during a Real Salt Lake home soccer game on March 29.
Auto dealership Young Subaru of Ogden, Utah, presented the sweepstakes prize.
The Blacked-Out Outback Sweepstakes was part of Maverik's Adventure Club rewards program, which grants Trail Points to Maverik loyalty members who purchase gas and other items with their loyalty cards. Maverik customers could enter the sweepstakes by applying their Trail Points to the contest or by mailing in entries.
The winner was randomly selected, but the odds of winning increased with the amount of Trail Points submitted. Alwine entered 5,721 Trail Points, according to the announcement.
"I just want to say thank you to everyone at Maverik for this opportunity and everyone at Young Subaru for my brand-new car," said Alwine. "This is just one of the most unbelievable things. It will really help my wife and I as we do volunteer work and drive a lot of miles every day. This is the greatest gift we could've received and one of the greatest moments we'll never forget."
Salt Lake City-based Maverik operates more than 260 convenience stores in 10 states and seeks to be consumers' first choice to outfit adventure as "Adventure's First Stop."
