MC2 Energy Drink Kicks Off Sweepstakes
LAS VEGAS -- MC2 Energy Drink, a division of Beverage Plus AG, kicked off sweepstakes that gives entrants a chance to win one of more than 100 prizes, including a trip to the Las Vegas Motor Speedway in February.
MC2 Energy Drink, known for its Cherry Red and Berry Blue drinks, and its power gum, made its presence known on the NASCAR scene over the past two years. In 2008, Beverage Plus placed its energy drink brand on the No. 81 MacDonald Motorsports Dodge driven by Canadian D.J. Kennington for three events in the Nationwide Series.
This season, the MC2 colors adorned the No. 05 car driven by Casey Atwood, and most recently, the No. 27 Ford of Jason Keller at Talladega Speedway. The company said it plans to step up its involvement in the Nationwide Series by debuting its own team.
"We look forward to introducing the No.14 MC2 Energy Drink Ford Fusion in the very near future, and plan to keep the fans just as excited as we are," stated Ron Serota, MC2 president and CEO. "That is what this contest is all about, generating enthusiasm among those who are responsible for keeping this sport going year after year."
Details for the sweepstakes can be found on www.mc2energydrink.com. Fans can enter in two ways—automatically when they purchase an MC2 Energy Drink Team merchandise package from the Web site, which includes a T-shirt, cap, 10 energy drinks, a Super Max shaver and poster, or they can send in a postcard with the answer to the MC2 Energy Drink trivia question. The answer can be found on Frontstretch.com.
Winners will receive one of three grand prizes consisting of a trip for four to the NASCAR Nationwide Series race in Las Vegas, Feb. 26-27, 2010. Grand-prize recipients will receive four garage and pit passes, tickets to the race, a VIP tour of the team’s garage, a meet and greet with the crew and driver, as well as MC2 Energy Drink-branded apparel. Transportation and accommodations will be provided, along with additional spending money, according to the Las Vegas-based company.
Eight first-prize winners will receive one NASCAR Driving Experience day at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway and 100 second place winners will receive an MC2 Energy Drink T-shirt. Entries will be accepted until Jan. 31, 2010.
