McDonald’s Testing Bigger All-Day Breakfast Menu
OAK BROOK, Ill. — McDonald’s Corp. is testing an expansion of its highly successful all-day breakfast program.
While most customers throughout the United States can only purchase English muffins or biscuits — depending upon geography — beyond the traditional breakfast hours, the fast-food chain is testing serving all of its breakfast items at all hours of the day at locations in Tulsa, Okla., and the Triad region of North Carolina, reported Brand Eating.
Hence, customers in these regions can choose from McGriddles, English muffins and biscuits at any hour of the day. The only thing absent from the expanded menu, called “All Day Breakfast: Bigger Menu,” in these test markets is the Big Breakfast, but the news outlet noted this is more of a combo meal than a missing item.
The news source added that the Triad region of North Carolina could be a larger testing ground as it bakes biscuits from scratch and offers the Buttermilk Crispy Biscuit in area locations, too.
It is unknown if McDonald’s will expand its bigger all-day breakfast menu to additional markets.
McDonald's rolled out its standard all-day breakfast menu to its more than 14,300 U.S. restaurants chainwide on Oct. 6.
