Minnesota Pushes E85 During Republican National Convention

Saint Paul, Minn. -- Building off the exposure of next week’s Republican National Convention, Minnesota, home to the most E85 fueling stations in the country, will launch a coinciding campaign centered on E85 fuel.

To date, 354 locations sell the alternative blend. As part of the campaign, the American Lung Association of the Upper Midwest announced attendees walking through Saint Paul skyways throughout the month of September will see billboards stating "Addicted to Oil?"

Signs will also be placed in the US Bank Building and Town Square, as well as on billboards alongside I-94. During convention coverage, E85/FFV:30 advertisements will run on the local NBC affiliate.

Holiday Stationstores will join the campaign on Wednesday Sept. 3, by offering flexible fuel vehicle owners in Eagan, Minn., an extra $1 off the current posted price between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m.
