NACStech Registration Opens

ALEXANDRIA, Va. -- NACStech takes over New Orleans this year as the convenience store industry's biggest technology conference moves to the Bayou from May 5, to May 7, 2010.

Each year, the conference helps c-store retailers learn about new technologies and applications that increasingly enter the channel. This year's event will also feature the NACS Convenience Store News CIO Roundtable, taking place the morning of May 5, and Convenience Store News' 7th Annual Technology Awards, which recognize individual leadership and company technology innovations. CSNews is also the exclusive media partner of this year's NACStech.

Other highlights, in the city known for great food and music, include:

-- Comedian Don McMillan, who will open NACStech with his personal brand of humor, motivation and technology acumen. A successful actor, comedian and speaker today, McMillan was previously an engineer at AT&T Bell Laboratories; he helped design the world's first 32-bit microprocessor and also worked in Silicon Valley designing computer chips.
-- Kevin Mitnick returns as closing speaker. Mitnick opened everyone's eyes to data security issues in 2004. Attendees will get his take on the future of data security and his impression of PCI mandates and their effectiveness.

NACStech also includes great educational workshops and an exposition. This year's expo floor has expanded to include biometrics, wireless, mobile applications, knowledge management and sustainable systems. The knowledge and connections made in the workshops and on the expo floor are worth the trip alone -- and both will be better than ever this year.

Attendee registration is now open. Register for NACStech today at nacstech.com.
