Nebraska’s K-Stores Chain Gets a New Owner

MCCOOK, Neb. -- Kugler Co. has signed a definitive agreement to sell its five K-Stores convenience stores and service stations to Sterling, Colo.-based Colorado Retail Ventures Services LLC (CRVS), according to the McCook Daily Gazette. Terms of the sale were not released.

The stores are located in St. Francis, Kan.; Leoti, Kan.; McCook, Neb.; Arapahoe, Neb., and Culbertson, Neb., and will be renamed Eagle Travel Stops and Convenience Stores. All staff will remain, said CRVS in a released statement.

Expansion plans include Cenex branding and facility upgrades.

"We are excited about the expansion and look forward to providing top-notch service and becoming a valued member of your community," stated Phillip Schumacher, chairman of the board for CRVS.

McCook, Neb.-based Kugler Co. is a third-generation, family-owned company established in 1924. Colorado Retail Ventures Services is owned by Colorado and Kansas Cooperatives and owns and operates multiple c- stores and truck stops in Colorado and Kansas.
