New Cenex Store Is a Milestone for Godfather's Pizza
SIOUX CENTER, Iowa — Pizza and fried chicken go together at the new Cenex location here.
The latest non-traditional version of Godfather's Pizza, known for "A Pizza You Can't Refuse," opened Nov. 7 at the Cenex convenience store/gas station on Main Street in Sioux Center.
This site is the first Godfather's Pizza Express in the nation to offer Godfather's fried chicken. It also offers the traditional pizzas like Classic Combo and Taco Pie that made the chain famous.
The first dual-concept location also carries mini and large pizzas, pizza rolls, calzones, monkey bread and many other sides with little to no wait time with the Grab 'n Go program.
"We are excited about our partnership with Cooperative Gas & Oil Co. in Sioux Center because this will be our first Godfather's-branded fried chicken program to go along with our pizza program," said Dave Gartlan, director of franchise development. "Now, customers will be able enjoy our chicken along with our famous pizza pies at the Express location."
Full chicken meals complete with side dishes, and chicken by the box or by the piece are available for carryout or dine in.
Godfather's Pizza has more than 435 non-traditional stores. The brand offers two non-traditional models: Delivery and Carryout, and Express.
Traditional and non-traditional Godfather's Pizza franchisees are backed by research and development, technology, marketing, training and support. The Godfather's Pizza Franchise Operations Team helps franchisees achieve the highest level of quality, service and cleanliness while assisting in developing programs to maximize profitability, the company noted.
Cooperative Gas & Oil Co. has three locations in Iowa: Sioux Center, Ireton and Boyden.
The Cenex brand is part of CHS Inc., a St. Paul, Minn.-based farmer-owned cooperative that provides energy, grains and foods.
