OKLAHOMA CITY, Okla. -- In an effort to stop fuel product loss, a collaborative effort among individuals within various sectors of the gas retailing industry has resulted in the launch an interactive community based Web site -- www.FuelForumOnline.com.
The forum was developed to provide operational fuel managers a platform to discuss topics such as vandalism protection, site equipment problems and theft incidents, according to a company statement, which called the site an opportunity to discuss issues and share solutions in a venue limited to fellow fuel management professionals.
Founding members include professionals from Love's Travel Stops and Country Stores and Warren Rogers Associates Inc., located in Middletown, R.I. The site is for members only, but registration is free, according to the company. By doing so, it ensures the site remains a forum for issues to be discussed candidly with the goal of finding and sharing solutions, the company stated.
Additional features include theft reporting -- a members-only database of product theft incidents -- which alerts operators to potential theft issues in or around their area, along with a fuel management resource, the company stated.
