Nittany Oil Adds Self-Service Ordering to Its Menu

LEWISTOWN, Pa. — Nittany Oil Co. added express self-service foodservice ordering to its menu. The locally based convenience store operator implemented the Gilbarco Veeder-Root Express Ordering Food Service location to its Nittany MinitMart locations throughout central and northern Pennsylvania.

"Express Ordering has been a great addition to our foodservice program," said Joe Faretta, Nittany MinitMart division manager. "The flexibility of this solution has allowed our company to think big about our foodservice program that we provide to our customers. It gives us a competitive advantage."

Nittany Oil also integrated Gilbarco's Passport Point of Sale System, intended to provide a complete c-store solution. According to Gilbarco, the c-store retailer will be able to take advantage of future features such as mobile phone ordering and the ability for customers to place orders at the pump.

"With the huge growth in foodservice offerings at our customers' stores, Gilbarco and our partners will continue to invest in integrated solutions like Express Ordering to allow them to succeed," said Scott Oakes, product marketing manager express ordering, Gilbarco Veeder-Root.

Greensboro, N.C.-based Gilbarco Veeder-Root is a worldwide technology provider for retail and commercial fueling operations. It offers a broad range of integrated solutions from the forecourt to the convenience store and head office.

Nittany Oil has operated its Nittany MinitMart c-stores for more than 50 years. It has more than 20 locations in Pennsylvania.
