Noble Roman Signs Pact With Circle K Franchise Network

INDIANAPOLIS — Noble Roman's Inc., franchisor and licensor of Noble Roman's Pizza, has signed an agreement with TMC Franchise Corp. to become a preferred supplier for its franchised Circle K, Kangaroo Express and On the Run convenience store brands in the United States. This totals approximately 800 locations.

TMC, which is part of Alimentation Couche-Tard Inc., will communicate Noble Roman's preferred status for pizza-focused foodservice to its existing franchisees as well as to all new franchise prospects.

Noble Roman's will hold presentations and demonstrations for TMC franchisees during special meetings at the 2016 NACS Show in Atlanta, where the company will be exhibiting for all attendees.

Additionally, Noble Roman's has signed three more franchise agreements for non-traditional locations inside Walmart stores, and expects to sign three more agreements later this year through the same master franchisee. The first non-traditional Noble Roman's location inside a Walmart opened earlier this year in Myrtle Beach, S.C.

"We are enthused about the long-term opportunity for growth Walmart locations might represent for the company," said Noble Roman's President Scott Mobley. "Interior construction at the Walmart locations permitting, we anticipate all three of the new units recently signed to potentially be opened and operating yet this year, with the others on the slate for the first quarter of 2017. We believe there are other opportunities for partnered growth within this segment as well."

The company signed 21 new non-traditional franchise/license agreements during the first three quarters of 2016, compared to 12 during the same time period in 2015. So far in 2016, 16 non-traditional franchised/licensed locations have opened, compared to eight at this point last year.

Two new grocery distributors also signed agreements to carry the ingredients for Noble Roman's deli take-n-bake pizza program.

"Our team headed by Troy Branson, executive vice president, has done an excellent job preselling a number of groceries within each of the two new distributors, so we are able to get those programs up and running relatively quickly after they stock," Mobley said. "We will continue to aggressively pursue additional grocers for our program within their two systems as well as others."

Noble Roman's has signed agreements for approximately 400 new grocery locations so far this year, and approximately 210 locations have been trained and opened.
