Nominations Open for NCA Confectionery Leadership Awards
WASHINGTON, D.C. — The National Confectioners Association (NCA) is seeking nominations for its 2015 Confectionery Leadership Awards, which recognize trade customers that support and lead the industry in thought leadership and forward-thinking merchandising and category promotion.
Nominations will be accepted through Oct. 10. The winners will be recognized in February at the NCA’s annual State of the Industry Conference, taking place in Miami.
“The Confectionery Leadership Awards are an opportunity for the industry to recognize top customers who serve as role models for other retailers and wholesalers, and exemplify what it means to be a good industry partner,” said Larry Wilson, NCA’s vice president of customer relations. “Our goal is to reward individuals who use their experience and expertise to lead their companies and encourage the kind of visionary thinking that drives the confectionery category forward.”
The 2014 Confectionery Leadership Awards recipients included Jamal Parker, senior buyer for candy and snacks at Sam's Club; and Tim Erceg, purchasing specialist for Hy-Vee Inc.
The National Confectioners Association, headquartered in Washington, D.C., is comprised of member companies that manufacture, market and supply the vast majority of chocolate confectionery, sugar confectionery and gum sold in the United States.
