OnCue Grows Alternative Fuel Footprint

STILLWATER, Okla. — OnCue Express opened two new compressed natural gas (CNG) stations with two more set to open in the fall.

Integrated within the convenience stores, OnCue opened CNG locations on Aug. 10 and 11, located at 3201 S. Kelly Ave. in Edmond, Okla., and 1206 S. Main St. in Hennessey, Okla., respectively.

The Edmond CNG location is capable of flowing up to 10 gallon gas equivalent (GGE)/minute with the CNG dispenser under the main canopy.

The Hennessey location, designed for semi trucks, has four heavy duty lanes, two light duty lanes and is capable of flowing 12 GGE/minute.

“These two new stations bring the OnCue CNG infrastructure total to 18 active stations. OnCue currently has seven additional locations in active planning phases, with two of those preparing to open later this year,” said Scott Minton, OnCue’s CNG market development manager.

The two additional CNG stations set to open in the fall are located at the Billings, Okla., exit on Interstate 35, as well as the new OnCue Express convenience store at I-240 and Sooner Road in Oklahoma City.

“OnCue Express is pleased to be the largest retail provider of CNG in the state, bringing new infrastructure and fueling opportunities to both urban and rural locations throughout Oklahoma,” said OnCue CEO, Jim Griffith.

Stillwater-based OnCue Express, operated by OnCue Marketing LLC, has 45 c-stores throughout Oklahoma. 

CNG is touted as a locally produced, cleaning burning and less expensive fuel compared to its traditional petroleum counterpart.
