OnCue Installs Its First Electric Vehicle Charger

STILLWATER, Okla. — OnCue Express and Omaha Gas & Electric (OG&E) have partnered to pilot the installation of a level 3, electronic vehicle (EV) fast-charging station at the Yukon, Okla., OnCue, located at 1000 North Czech Hall Road.

"We are excited about partnering with OG&E to install OnCue's first EV charger," said Laura Aufleger, OnCue. "Collaboration and strategic partnerships like this enable Oklahomans the opportunity to embrace alternative fuels. Adding EV charging to Yukon grows our portfolio of domestically produced alternative fuels and further allows Oklahomans to use their fuel of choice."

During the pilot period, charging will be complimentary to customers. Data including time of day, length of use and how much energy is consumed will be collected during this time to evaluate and improve future EV infrastructure development, OnCue said.

Ken Grant, vice president of sales and marketing for OG&E, said the installation is important for many reasons. Chiefly among them is the usefulness of an EV fast-charging station at a great location.

"This partnership is symbolic of our commitment to facilitating the adoption of EVs across and even beyond our service area," said Grant. "When it comes to electric vehicle technology, OG&E is proud to have more than 20 years invested in EV exploration and engineering expertise, and to bolster our strong record of environmental stewardship."

Stillwater-based OnCue Express, operated by OnCue Marketing LLC, has 45 c-stores throughout Oklahoma.
