LAS VEGAS -- In a joint announcement, ZizZazz energy mix’s parent company, Mainstream Ventures Inc., entered into an agreement with Acosta Inc. to provide national distribution for its vitamin-based energy drink mix.

"We’re thrilled to work with the industry leader for the marketing and distribution of our products. ZizZazz has amazing flavor, great packaging and provides convenience for the customer as well as the retail outlets. The team at Acosta shares in our vision and we look forward to a fruitful partnership," ZizZazz president Amberly Quaintance said in a released statement.

Calvin Johnson, Acosta’s director of sales planning, explained that the Acosta will work directly with the ZizZazz’s marketing team.

"Acosta’s convenience store division is extremely excited to be working with ZizZazz. It's rare in this channel to launch a new category and product with the level of consumer marketing that this company has committed to," Johnson said in a released statement. "With ZizZazz being a new format in the Energy category and having so much to offer retailers and consumers; these factors give us the confidence to partner with the ZizZazz team and apply the necessary resources to be successful."

In other beverage news, Purple Beverage Co. Inc. signed a distribution agreement with the Sparks, Nevada-based Crown Beverages, Inc., which further expands the availability of its signature beverage, Purple, to customers throughout the Northern Nevada region.

"We are excited that Crown Beverages has decided to partner with us to help bring Purple to consumers everywhere," Ted Farnsworth, chief executive officer and founder of Purple Beverage Company, said in a released statement. "With strong locations in attractive markets, Crown Beverages will help enhance our current distribution and propel the Purple brand forward in the region."

Paul Bond, president and general manager of Crown Beverages, Inc. explained that Purple will be added to its distribution line that includes Sierra Nevada, Guinness, Jones Soda, Function Drinks and Sweet Leaf Tea to a variety of independent retailers and national c-store chains.

"We are always on the lookout for trendy new beverages, and have been watching Purple carefully over the past several months as it has continued to attract more and more health-conscious consumers," Bond said in a released statement. "With wellness being such a high priority for so many Americans right now, we are confident that adding Purple to our list of well-respected brands will help solidify our place as one of the nation’s foremost beverage distributors."
