The Pantry Signs with ExxonMobil

SANFORD, N.C. -- The Pantry Inc. reached a new gasoline branding and supply agreement with Exxon Mobil Oil Corp.

The new agreement with ExxonMobil is for a five-year term. While Sanford, N.C.-based The Pantry's current usage of ExxonMobil products is modest, the agreement gives the company another major oil company as a potential key branded product supplier. The deal covers multiple ExxonMobil terminals in the southeast United States that are strategically located in The Pantry's market areas. Additionally, it provides the company another strong national gasoline brand to offer across its regional markets. Currently, the Pantry operates about 1,400 stores in 11 states

"We are very excited about expanding our relationship with ExxonMobil," said Peter J. Sodini, president and CEO of The Pantry. "The new agreement provides us with additional security of gasoline supply."
