Parent Petroleum Signs On as VP Racing Fuels Partner
ST. CHARLES, Ill. — Parent Petroleum Co. inked a pact to become VP Racing Fuel Inc.’s newest retail branding partner.
Parent Petroleum’s retail division, The PRIDE Stores Inc., signed on with VP Racing to provide customers with the most unique offering at its The PRIDE convenience stores in the greater Chicagoland area, said Mark Potaczek, vice president of Fuels Marketing and Development for Parent Petroleum.
“We are excited to bring VP into our brand portfolio as an independent option because it provides us with many benefits that were previously available only through major refiners,” said Potaczek. “VP’s brand image is very economical and attractive and communicates a theme of quality and reliability, which is consistent with its reputation in the specialty fuels, additives, and racing community. Its credit card fees are among the lowest in the industry and its marketing support programs are very useful and easy to administer. These benefits, combined with its low- to no-interest equipment loans for the operator, make VP an extremely useful tool in our sales kit.”
VP Racing is proud to partner with Parent Petroleum, added Alan Cerwick, president of the San Antonio-based company. “Parent is well-respected in the industry and brings fresh thinking to the challenges faced by petroleum retailers,” he said. “With VP’s game-changing business model, they’ll be positioned to offer the solutions and competitive advantages convenience store owners are looking for.”
Celebrating its 40th anniversary this year, VP Racing Fuels Inc. is known as the “World Leader in Race Fuel Technology.” As part of its retail branding program, gas stations and convenience stores across the United States are being branded as VP Racing Fuels, with each providing distribution for VP’s other product lines.
Parent Petroleum Co. specializes in service and sales of petroleum products to local municipalities, retail, commercial and industrial customers in Illinois and bordering states. It has been operating gasoline stations for more than 30 years and started calling its stores “The PRIDE” to emphasize the pride taken in the stations it owns.
