Parker's Diversifies, Enters Vacation Rental Business
SAVANNAH, Ga. — The Parker Cos. has entered the vacation rentals business. The operator of Parker's convenience stores recently converted its former corporate headquarters at 222 Drayton St. in Savannah into luxury lofts that are available as short- and long-term vacation rentals.
Located above Parker's Market Urban Gourmet, the lofts are accented with stylish décor and feature sleek kitchen areas, luxury bedding and high ceilings with exposed wood beams. Parker's currently lists seven, two-bedroom lofts and one, one-bedroom property with Lucky Savannah, a popular local vacation rental company.
"We designed these lofts to offer the ultimate in privacy, comfort and convenience in the heart of downtown Savannah," said Greg Parker, president and CEO of Parker's. "They have been extremely popular with discriminating travelers who are looking for an alternative to traditional hotel accommodations and who appreciate high quality and attention to detail."
The new vacation lofts reflect Parker's longtime commitment to quality, design and convenience, while providing an exciting new option for travelers who are interested in "living like a social" in Savannah, the company stated.
Parker's relocated its corporate headquarters to the historic Philbrick-Eastman House on Chippewa Square in downtown Savannah in 2015. The company has been recognized with several accolades from the Georgia Trust and Historic Savannah Foundation for its renovation of the historic structure on W. McDonough Street.
Savannah-based The Parker Cos. operates 46 convenience stores in Georgia and South Carolina. This year Parker's celebrated its 40th anniversary.
