Parker's Riding Growth Wave in Coastal South Carolina
SAVANNAH, Ga. — Parker's is rapidly expanding in South Carolina, opening three new stores in the state in the past month.
"Our customer base is expanding rapidly in South Carolina," said Greg Parker, company president and CEO. "We're proud to be the low-price leader in Jasper and Beaufort counties and look forward to opening additional stores in the area within the next year."
The convenience store chain welcomed customers at its 41st store, located in Hardeeville, S.C., in mid-December. Parker's 42nd store opened approximately a week later in Bluffton, S.C. It is the retailer's sixth store in Bluffton.
"This latest store is a response to growing customer demand in Bluffton," Parker said. "Bluffton has proven to be a major growth market for Parker's. Our Beaufort County customers are incredibly loyal and appreciate our commitment to quality, convenience and customer service."
The chain's 43rd store opened for business in Hilton Head, S.C., in early January. The store marks Parker's first entrance into the town.
"Coastal South Carolina is a major growth area for Parker's," Parker noted, adding that in addition to the Hardeeville, Bluffton and Hilton Head stores, the retailer has "plans to open additional stores in the coming months."
Savannah-based Parker's operates 43 convenience stores in southeast Georgia and South Carolina. According to the retailer, it plans to open new convenience stores in Okatie, S.C.; Claxton, Ga.; and Statesboro, Ga., over the next several months.
