Penny Coffee Returns to Kangaroo Express
CARY, N.C. — Kangaroo Express will offer customers a 12-ounce cup of its Bean Street Coffee for just one cent on Sept. 29, National Coffee Day. The nearly free coffee will be available from 6 a.m. to 10 a.m. at one cup per customer while supplies last.
This marks the third consecutive year that the convenience store chain has offered a cup of coffee for a penny on National Coffee Day.
Customers can also save on Bean Street Coffee purchases with the 2014 Roo Mug, a reusable coffee mug that can be purchased for $1.99 plus tax and refilled for 99 cents. Those who purchase a Roo Mug through Oct. 31 will receive a free Maple Sausage Pancake Roller by Oscar Mayer at grill-ready Kangaroo Express stores.
"National Coffee Day is a great way to show our appreciation for loyal guests that 'wake up at The Roo' by fueling up, hopping in for a tasty, on-the-go Maple Sausage Pancake Roller or a hot, fresh cup of Bean Street Coffee," said Gordon Schmidt, senior vice president of operations for Kangaroo Express. "We invite our guests to join The Roo in celebrating National Coffee Day with a one-cent cup of Bean Street Coffee and enjoy yearlong savings with the Roo Mug."
Bean Street Coffee is available exclusively at Kangaroo Express stores. The seasonal pumpkin spice cappuccino is being served through the end of October.
