JERSEY CITY, N.J. -- The West Virginia Oil Marketers & Grocers Association has elected several new board members to lead the trade group representing convenience stores, independent grocers and petroleum marketers.

Jim Oppe, owner of TWJ Inc. in Parkersburg, will take the helm as the association's 2011-2013 chairman. He succeeds Sandra Morgenstern, president and COO of Par Mar Oil Co. based in Marietta, Ohio. Also taking a seat on the board are Greg Rogers, president of R.T. Rogers Oil Co. as vice chairman; and Joe DeFazio, owner of DeFazio Oil Co., as secretary-treasurer.

Jan Vineyard remains the association's president.

Atlas Oil Co.
Shawn Ryan, formerly director of the Atlas' DELTA Process Improvement team, is moving up to vice president of operations. He will also join the company's senior leadership team. In addition, Michael Loomis comes on board as director of sales operations.

As head of operations, Ryan will oversee Atlas' facilities and operations in Taylor, Mich., Niles, Mich., and Hammond, Ind., including the fleet of transport and tankwagon trucks, and all fuel deliveries made by Atlas drivers. He will also be in responsible for customer service operations.

Ryan joined Taylor, Mich.-headquartered Atlas in April 2010 from Tefen Management Consulting where he served as director of life sciences and supply chain. Prior to that, he was director of operations at AT Kearney MRO where he was responsible for indirect material delivery and distribution for 10 powertrain facilities in the United States.

He earned a master's of business administration in strategy and economics from Ellis NYIT and a bachelor's in business administration from University of Wisconsin, Madison.

Loomis joins Atlas from Sealy Inc. where he was director of sales for the Great Lakes east region. Prior to joining Sealy in 1999, he was a regional marketing manager for Lexmark International in Lexington, Ky.

Loomis received a bachelor of science degree in political science/economics from Sam Houston State.

Ryko Solutions
Joe Ivy has taken on the title of vice president of manufacturing and operations at Ryko Solutions Inc.'s 250,000-square-foot facility in Grimes, Iowa. Ivy previously managed his own consulting group dedicated to engineering and construction management. He also worked for 12 years with Bridgestone Americas Inc. where he directed manufacturing and strategic global sourcing for three facilities located in Des Moines, Nashville and Decatur, Ill.

Ryko Solutions is a provider of managed car wash systems, offering an integrated, end-to-end clean vehicle solution consisting of equipment, chemicals, a national technical services organization and consumer marketing programs.

Master-Bilt
Master-Bilt, manufacturer of a full line of commercial refrigeration systems, has appointed Johnson Commercial Agents and Ross Marketing as new sales representative groups. Johnson Commercial Agents will cover the territories of North Dakota, South Dakota and Minnesota. Ross Marketing covers Saskatchewan, Manitoba and Northwestern Ontario.

Johnson Commercial Agents, based in Mendota Heights, Minn., represents a range of foodservice equipment and supplies manufacturers. The addition of Master-Bilt's full line of refrigeration solutions will complement their line of fine foodservice equipment.

Dave Ross, with an office in Winnipeg, has 39 years experience in the refrigeration industry working at the dealer/distributor level. He has also been involved in refrigeration installations for major foodservice chains such as Tim Hortons. While new to the Master-Bilt group as a sales representative, Ross has been working with and installing Master-Bilt products for most of his career.

Master-Bilt is a member of the Standex Food Service Equipment Group and offers a complete line of refrigerated coolers and freezers for commercial foodservice applications. The company is based in New Albany, Miss.
