Purchase, N.Y.-based PepsiCo's newly formed Foodservice division named Scott A. Siers vice president, industry relations and business development, a role in which he will be responsible for elevating Pepsi's presence within the foodservice and vending industry through business development, strategic alliances, corporate sponsorships, trade advertising and other customer-oriented initiatives.

“Scott is a proven and respected leader within the foodservice industry,” said Chris Furman, president of PepsiCo's foodservice division. “His understanding of the industry and our customers will prove invaluable as he leverages the synergies of the entire PepsiCo portfolio.”

Siers most recently worked for PepsiCo's foodservice and vending sales division, where he held a number of assignments, including vice president of national accounts. Prior to that, Siers was vice president of sales for Tropicana, where he was responsible for the mass, club, military and foodservice channels as well as the Central America and Caribbean businesses.

In other people news, Retalix Ltd. named Victor Hamilton president and CEO of Dallas-based Retalix Inc., the company's U.S.-based subsidiary. Until recently, Hamilton served as chairman and CEO of Integrated Distribution Solutions (IDS), the Omaha-based software company that was acquired by Retalix in April 2005.

Hamilton has more than 30 years' experience in the food industry, including more than 20 years in leadership roles with IDS and its predecessor company, H&S Computer Systems.
