FRISCO, Texas -- Fujitsu Transaction Solutions Inc. appointed Bruce Kopp to the newly created position of vice president of sales. Reporting to Doug Wallace, senior vice president of sales and client management, Kopp will partner with Karl Schutz, vice president of sales, in leading the sales team and, in particular, driving new business development.

Kopp, previously an executive of the Retail Strategy team for IBM Americas, has more than 17 years of sales and management experience in the industry, and was responsible for development and delivery of IBM’s Retail Store Strategy to customers and internal sales teams.

"Bruce's strong leadership skills, retail knowledge and customer relationship skills are instrumental in helping retailers meet their growing technology needs," said Wallace. "His extensive industry experience will be valuable as Fujitsu continues to expand its presence in the marketplace and extend its Pervasive Retailing Solutions. Our continued strong growth demonstrates the strength of our existing sales team and the addition of Bruce will enhance our capabilities and accelerate our growth."

Another industry veteran, Martin Clark, has been promoted to director of marketing and business development for FKI Logistex Manufacturing Systems North America. Clark, who has more than 20 years of material handling experience, was previously director, international and newspaper operations.

Clark joined FKI Logistex in 1999, and was instrumental in developing the company's manufacturing-based business in the United Kingdom. He has played a major role in building the customer base in Mexico and Canada for FKI Logistex Manufacturing Systems North America. In his new role, Clark will continue to focus on business development while overseeing marketing operations for the division.

"Martin brings a wealth of experience to our group in building markets for FKI Logistex. His marketing talent and leadership skills will be integral in promoting FKI Logistex and enhancing our position in the material handling marketplace," said Ted Clucas, president, FKI Logistex Manufacturing Systems North America. "I look forward to working with Martin as he extends his business development work into our marketing efforts."
