Paul Kreter has been appointed to the position of vice president, ethanol sales for VeraSun Energy Corp. Kreter brings more than 20 years of experience in the petrochemical industry to the position, where he will assist in the development and implementation of VeraSun's strategy for ethanol sales and distribution.

Previously, he worked at Methanex Methanol Co., where he handled sales to major methanol consumers throughout the world. Kreter started his career at ARCO Chemical Co. as a research chemist, then moved into sales.

VeraSun's branded E85, VE85, is available at more than 70 locations in the nation. Upon completion of two new facilities, VeraSun will have an annual production of 560 million gallons of ethanol per year.

Fujitsu Transaction Solutions Inc. has named Danny Westheimer as the regional vice president of sales. In this Atlanta, Ga.-based role, Westheimer will bring more than 20 years experience to focus on new account development. Westheinmer will report to Karl Schutz, vice president of sales and client management.

Prior to joining Fujitsu, Westheimer was northeast director of retail sales at NCR. He also held various other sales and marketing management positions during his 12-year tenure at NCR.
