Pester Marketing Acquires Four Stores From State Oil

GREENWOOD VILLAGE, Colo. -- Pester Marketing acquired four Conoco-branded convenience stores from State Oil of New Mexico. Three of the stores are located in Raton, N.M., and one is in Springer, N.M.

Pester Marketing, which operates under the Alta Convenience banner, now owns 57 c-stores in Colorado, Kansas, Nebraska and New Mexico.

"Pester Marketing's wholesale fuel subsidiary, Alta Fuels, has been supplying gas and diesel to these stores for the past three years and this current c-store acquisition fits very well with our plans for expansion in northern New Mexico," said Rich Spresser, president and CEO of Pester Marketing. "We are pleased to be a part of the Raton and Springer communities and look forward to continuing to provide high quality Conoco-branded gasoline and a variety of groceries, snacks, beverages, tobacco products, lottery tickets and other convenience items."

Greenwood Village, Colo.-based Pester Marketing Co. has been in business for more than 50 years. Its Alamosa, Colo.-based subsidiary, Alta Fuels, is a supplier of biodiesel and E85 alternative fuels.
