Pester Marketing Begins Rebranding Effort

DENVER -- Pester Marketing, the owner of Alamosa, Colo.-based fuel distributor Alta Fuels and 51 convenience stores currently sporting the Farm Crest and 1st Stop names, recently began a rebranding effort. Soon, all of the company’s c-stores will operate under the Alta name, the Pueblo Chieftain reported.

The process is expected to be completed in 2013. Most of the stores are located in Colorado, with 10 in Kansas and Nebraska.

Pester Marketing is also expanding its Pueblo, Colo., branch distribution center, located at 1739. E. Platteville Blvd., by adding an in-house truck repair garage and combined warehouse/office building. Alamosa will continue to be Alta Fuels' headquarters and main fuel distribution center, according to the report.

These recent changes come as Pester Marketing “is capitalizing on some growth opportunities for our facilities and our transportation and trucks," stated Jim Sammons, president of the fuel division. The company’s roles as a store operator and one of the largest independent fuel distributors in the region give it strength, he noted.

Earlier in 2012, Pester Marketing successfully completed a refinancing and expansion of its senior credit facilities and treasury management services to facilitate growth, as CSNews Online previously reported.
