Peyton Manning Leads Pack of NACS Show Speakers

ALEXANDRIA, Va. — Fresh off a Super Bowl 50 win with the Denver Broncos and subsequently hanging up his shoulder pads, former football star Peyton Manning will headline the 2016 NACS Show this fall. The annual event will take place Oct. 18-21 in Atlanta.

Manning, a future Hall of Fame quarterback, will take the stage to close out the show on Oct. 21. He led the Broncos to a championship win in February by defeating the Carolina Panthers 24-10. He won his first Super Bowl ring as the quarterback for Indianapolis when the Colts outscored the Chicago Bears 29-17 in Super Bowl XLI in February 2007.

The now-retired athlete is also the National Football League's (NFL) only five-time Most Valuable Player winner and was selected to the Pro Bowl 14 times. He is the son of NFL legend Archie Manning and the brother of Eli Manning, quarterback of the New York Giants.

For his actions off the field, Manning was honored as the recipient of the Byron "Whizzer" White Humanitarian Award and the NFL’s Walter Payton Man of the Year in 2005, as well as the Bart Starr Award in 2015, according to NACS, the Association for Convenience & Fuel Retailing.

Manning and his wife Ashley established the PeyBack Foundation in 1999 to promote the future success of disadvantaged youth by providing leadership and growth opportunities for children at risk. The PeyBack Foundation has provided more than $10 million to at-risk youth through its grants and programs since its inception. 

He also continues to maintain a strong relationship with St. Vincent’s Children's Hospital in Indianapolis, which in 2007 was renamed the Peyton Manning Children's Hospital at St. Vincent.

Merit Gest, sales specialist and productivity and leadership strategist, and Steve Gross, founder and chief playmaker of the Life is Good Playmakers charity, round out the general sessions speakers on Oct. 18 and 19, respectively.
